The 2017 San Diego Comic Con Kung Fu Extravaganza 20th Anniversary Celebration Playlist!

Finally!

Please forgive me for taking a month to get this posted, but I was overwhelmed by everything that happened in our biggest, best, bulgingest, badassiest Extravaganza ever.

We were all ready for our usual compilation of the funniest, fastest, funkiest, frenziedest film clips of the year – along with, to paraphrase Mad Magazine, our usual gang of amazing idiots (Comedy Film Nerds Graham Elwood, Chris Mancini, Neil T. Weakley, master of remaster Frank Djeng, and king of YouTube Kungfu Eric Jacobus), but then Well Go USA kept upping the ante with video premiere after video premiere … until they broke the bank with the world premiere of a trailer for a film that wasn’t even finished yet!

Me, Frank, Graham, Chris, Eric, Neil!

That would be Triple Threat, starring Tony Jaa (Ong Bak), Iko Uwais (The Raid), Tiger Chen (Master of Tai Chi), Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite/Spawn), Scott Adkins (Wolf Warrior/Doctor Strange), and even more.

But Well Go USA wasn’t done yet. They also offered to bring Michael and Scott in as on-stage guests, as well as co-stars Michael Bisping (UFC Champ) and the lovely Selina Lo … not to mention the film’s director, legendary stunt man and stunt coordinator Jesse Johnson.

Add Selina, Jesse, and sword master Luke La Fontaine in there too!

So if I looked a little stunned and overwhelmed, it’s hardly surprising, because it was like Woodstock on that stage. To make matters even crazier, I had 240 minutes worth of entertainment in a 150 minute package. Talk about first world problems!

So here we go. Hold on, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

First on the literal and figurative hit parade…

Then it was Eric Jacobus’s time to preem his latest action homage to Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman….

Finally, after all that awesomeness, we actually got to the Extravaganza itself – guided and glorified by the exceptional releases of the aptly named Well Go USA.

And then, more surprise sneak peeks and previews of films that weren’t even available on DVD yet!

By then we were reeling, laughing, and cheering — as well as deliriously and happily way over schedule.  So we didn’t even have time to show the sneak peek trailer for what has now become the most successful Chinese film of all time … but I’m including it here now, because we’ve been championing Jacky Wu Jing for decades at the Extravaganza!

There you have it – sooooooooo much action goodness. I don’t know about you, but I’m still exhausted! But not so exhausted I’ll miss any of Well Go USA’s upcoming releases – all you can see on their site.
